People are coming to visit me, and I think it’d be wise to give them a cellphone to contact me while I’m teaching and they’re getting lost - or deported. Is there a place that rents out cellphones for the day or week?

You can rent mobile phones at the airport - don’t know the costs but will be out there later today and will see if I can get the details.
I’ve got an oldish clunker (don’t worry it’s under 5 pounds!) that you can use if you like. 2 batteries with it, both work OK. Your visitors could just buy a pre-paid card from 7-11 or similar. I’ve been meaning to give it away anyway.
