I rented a small shop on ’ main street’ next door to Mac D’s, across from the P.O. I’ve been waiting 6 weeks for my landlord to give me his land tax receipt and Building Use certificate so I can apply for my business license.
I made it clear to him that I intend to do business. He has been stalling me with stories. I’m beginning to suspect foul play. As it turns out, the past 3 tenants had businesses here, each for 4 - 5 months.
I suspect that he has hasn’t paid his taxes, registered the property as personal use, built the thing illegally.
Today, I go to the county gov’t, the tax office and to the infamous Peter Chen for remedy.
