I have searched the forums but can’t find what I’m looking for. I want to ship a few personal items to Australia…2 mountain bikes, camping gear, some clothing, bedding, and a few other odds and ends. I want to avoid a container or partial container and would prefer to go with a cargo company based in Kaohsiung (you know, the companies that ship stuff by air and it arrives within a few days).
I have heard stories of people getting ripped off, so I’m hoping to hear from people who can suggest a good, reliable company…
Nope, no luck. Just scary stories from friends about getting ripped off and having damaged goods upon arrival. Going to go with Allied Pickfords, as they seem to be the only company I can find with a good reputation.
I need to ship stuff too. Is it expensive, and do you know if you have to pay anything once it arrives in your home country, like import tax for example?
YES - although I don’t know if this post is too late.
Steven Kao… not the Steven in Taipei all though I think they know each other, is a very professional international (or Taiwan mover). We been aquainted ever since I was born, and occasionally we do other business together.
He owns the Kaohsiung division of Crown Van Lines… I think that’s the name. Probably the most professional moving service you will find in Southern Taiwan - and they are very friendly - been helping the foreign community in Taiwan for over 30 years.
They do house moving, business moving and special services related moving to locations in Taiwan or international locations. They also have high-tech storage facilities.
The bad news - is that I don’t have their company website url or telephone number on me… but I have the boss’ cell phone … so give me a call if you want to find their info. 0921252345
