Rescued 1 year old Female Beagle: Looking for a home or cage

Hi All,

I rescued a 1 year old female beagle the other day. The original owner was negligent , and basically let her loose in YongKang Park covered in dirt and pee. She is severely underfed, has an eye infection, diarrhea, and can’t control her bladder. Apparently, the owner walked around the park with the dog randomly asking if anybody wanted her, and just let her loose and took off when there were no takers… what a punk! He never took the time to train and care for/love the dog like she deserves.

Anyways, I’ve taken the initiative to take her in for the meantime, nurse her to health ( eye infection, diarrhea, possible bladder problems etc), take her to the vet, and try to housebreak her so she’s all ready and healthy for a loving owner who wants her.

Here’s what I need from you guys…some help if you can.

  1. A small cage I can use to housebreak her. I prefer if I could just borrow it for a few weeks (or however long it takes), or if you have an old one hanging around that you can sell cheaply. I suspect the vet bills might add up, so a good price is appreciated. She’s small/medium sized (5kg I think).

  2. A loving, caring, and patient person who might be interested in adopting this young, cute, playful Beagle. She is very affectionate, and will follow you anywhere you go. She appears very bright and articulate, but needs someone caring to teach her how to behave. She will be a great lifelong companion for the right person who can give her the attention she deserves.

I’ve already rescued a stray dog myself, and will take him back to Canada when I move in a few months, so I can’t take this beagle with me. If anybody is interested, or can help out in anyway, please let me know.

Please PM me or email me at: dave.w.lee@gmail.com. I can email pics of her on request.

How long is she ? How tall?

I have an old carrying cage [smallish size] in good condition, that is collecting dust and cobwebs.

Cost: Train freight to send it back to me before you return to Canada.
