Hey guys, I missed 39/45 hours of uni due to illness (dysentery) but I didn’t go to the doctors, I just waited it out and let my body do it’s thing, and therefore I have no proof that I had dysentery. I didn’t ask the admin people to give me a note or anything either. I just applied for the resident visa, and they called me up the next day after I applied and sounded extremely suspicious as to why I missed so many hours, but I told them my situation and that was that; they didn’t sound mad/suspicious in the end.
Will get rejected? I’m getting my passport back next Wed (24 October 2012), and my visa expires the next day. I exchanged emails with my CLD teacher to explain that I was too sick to attend school, is that proof enough? Or would I have to leave the country if I don’t get the visa? Would that mean I have to go to Hong Kong, get another 60 day visitor visa and extend it for another 4 months of study and reapply for another resident visa? Or will reapplying for a resident visa be a lost cause? I’m really hoping I don’t get rejected, since I haven’t missed a class this semester, and I’m planning to get my college degree in NTU.
