I looks like I might be selling out and becoming a teacher
There is a kindergarten that is interested in me for a couple of hours a week, can anyone suggest some books or something that would be useful to me, either for me to learn from or teach with ? I think they actually want me to teach something new, they have people to just play with the kids. I do know some of the controversy surrounding teaching English in kindergarten, but it’s only part time so hopefully I won’t corrupt them too much, just teach them a little of something new.
It’s not just controversy about the children; It’s illegal.
Lots of people do it of course, but be aware that you can be deported for it.
Might want to do a search on this forum about it.
If you’re set on doing it:
What level of kindergarten is it? K1, K2, or K3?
If it’s K2 or K3 then books I recommend:
Magic Time (available at Caves )
Active Kids English (available through Bookman books)
Activekidsenglish.com/
*Be warned that this recommendation is biased by the fact I wrote them.
Both of these books have lots of TPR activities that work really well for kindy kids.
Thanks for that, I’ll look them up. And I have a magic visa and can’t be deported for that :offtopic:
