Restaurants opening and closing (UK)

The restaurant market is volatile.

"More than 1,000 restaurants close down in Britain in the year through September, a 24 percent rise on the previous 12 months as the industry grapples with overcapacity as consumer spending slows, accountants Moore Stephens said yesterday.

Restaurant chains such as Carluccio’s, Prezzo, Jamie’s Italian and Strada have closed outlets in the last year, and there are few signs of any pickup in demand."

" Din Tai Fung opens its first London restaurant

UK FRANCHISE:The outlet has an ‘East meets West’-style interior with a large open kitchen and the first-ever Din Tai Fung cocktail bar serving Taiwan-inspired concoctions"

Oh yes, the famous concoctions Taiwanese food manufacturers come up with in their boundless creativity :joy:

Din Tai Going has very good quality food and service . Hopefully London will match up. There’s a general problem of stores closing on the high street in the UK and other countries for years.

Guess it’s time to get into claw machine business there.
