I have a mid-70’s Zenith turntable/cartridge/radio player that has significant sentimental value. I would like to find someone who is knowledgeable in “antique” electronics and restore it…I am located in Taipei…anybody looked into this before and can suggest somebody? Most electronics stores don’t even bother to listen to me and tell me to throw it away…they think I am mad…
There’s an electronics market, kind of north of XiMen MRT Station, and west of Taipei Main Station. There are quite a few little shops that deal in fixing up old stereos and stuff. As for “antique”, I don’t think they would have any problems. It’s very common to see them rebuilding old valve (tube) amplifiers and the likes.
I’ll post a map when I get a chance.
EDIT: Here you go…
