Yes, you read that right. For the first time in 17 years, I will be returning to Taiwan for 10 days in late January 2025. Daughter’s Taiwan wedding (the Canuckistan one is this year).

Just to refresh this puppy. I’ll be attending a family wedding at the Taoyuan Monarch Plaza Hotel in late January and will be in Taiwan for 10 days, but would be happy to hold court at a pub if anyone wants to catch a brew or five. Not staying at the TMPH but in a nearby rented apartment.
I will be in NY; enjoy your stay. In Taoyuan, check out the Hop Inn. Cozy place, great choice of IPAs and sake.

Well, then Vinyl Decision is a great place to hang out. They do tend to spin loud noise at times though when the boss isn’t there.

We used to live in a very nice high rise in Mucha, which I regret we sold…would be at least 2m USD now! If it is like my return visits to Canada, I’ll likely be bitching about food prices. Back in the day, I remember eating this amazing rice soup for 40NT, eating at my favorite Yunnan place by NCCU for under 300NT, etc.
Will be staying at a short-term suite with overseas family near Taipei Main Station. Will be quite busy with my step-daughter’s wedding and making various family rounds/enjoying numerous restaurants/shopping, but happy to have pints anytime in Jan 22, 23, 25, 26…PM me if interested.
