ROC is a government-in-exile

Troops? US Troops? Enlisted men in the US Military? I call :bs:

it did at one time, but not currently. There was a big whoppeedoo when the US Marines was thinking of having a few Marines at the new AIT complex , not sure that will happen tho.

When is the new AIT going to be operational anyway?

I think Bob Dylan has done a great service to Taiwan - he surely has “out-subtled” the PRC government with his statement about artistic unfreedom in the PRC.

I suspect that many North Americans, jaded about the freedoms they have had since birth, cannot get that electrifying sense of understanding that comes from hearing a Dylan concert (or hearing about a Dylan concert) during which he does not sing “Blowing in the wind”: nobody in Taiwan or the PRC needs to be told why he did not sing it - people understand automatically. But i am of, course, happy to know that someone stated the obvious where it is useful to hear it said.
