There are plenty of black blues guys, some of them rock too

The lines definitely blur between blues/jazz and rock (there’s the old chestnut about rock essentially being stolen and repackaged by white people). I admit I’m not an authority on this stuff and am open to learning about new artists.

Some suggestions:
Fantastic Negrito, Eric Gales, Bernard Allison, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Living Colour, perhaps even Fishbone

  • all depending on taste, naturally🎸

And in an ironic twist, here we have an album of blues-style covers of songs by Led Zeppelin which were likely inspired by their listening to old blues
