Rooibos Tea in Taiwan?

Where in Taiwan can I find a steady supply of rooibos? I found some from Australia at RT-Mart’s import section but it’s like 250NT for 20 teabags.

I’d like to buy in bulk if possible. Where do all the saffrons here get their rooibos? Please help me.

Costco was carrying it in bulk. Dunno if it still is there, as things tend to “dissappear”, but yes, affordable it was.

Most people I’ve heard actually pronounce the name of the brand call it “ROO-bee-ooze”.

There are many different brands. Rooibos is the name of the plant that the stuff comes from. Directly translated, it means “red bush”.

I just saw large bags at Costco in Taoyuan last week. However, as Icon said, it probably won’t be a steady supply.

Only a rooinek would pronounce it like that.

Hey, thanks for the great suggestions guys! I’ll see if I can find someone with a Costco membership to let me tag along next time they go. That Webspar website has it for $50 NT/20 bags! No picture of any indication what brand. May be worth a try. I bought a 20 bag box from RT Mart the last time I was there…it was actually about $150 NT (Target’s “Archer Farms” fiery chai rooibos tea was about $2.50 iirc). I don’t think it was good as the Target version, even though both had ginger and another ingredient I can’t think of right now. Hopefully the Costco and Webspar rooibos will be better!
