It’s on Oct. 11. I was wondering if anyone else will be going down for this … ? I’m doing the 21k.
I guess not … how about the Taroko Marathon in Nov?
any info and how to register?
how do you find out about them? Im interested in doing a triathlon in the spring, good info links?
Most marathons and traithlons on the island are organized through www.sportsnet.org.tw
It’s already too late to register for the two listed above but I’m sure you could find something for next year.
I PRed the race in 1:38.29. Also the course was especially hilly so I’m really happy with the effort. Next time I’m going to find accomodation closer to the starting point though cos waking up at 2a.m. for the bus from Taichung wasn’t fun…
If you run it next year, let me know. I will do the full if my school schedule allows it. I will drive from Taichung as I usually do. No need to get up at 2am for the race…
Thanks! I’ve taken the week off training after Taroko which has been nice and relaxing (running’s great but so is resting ). Now it’s 4 weeks of hard training and then another easy one before the Taipei Marathon on 12/20…
Happy running!

What are you running before Taipei? I was planning on doing the race in Banciao on 12/6 as a warm-up. An easy half before another full would have been nice, but they moved that race to 12/13. I can’t run that weekend.
There’s a 7.2k race in Banciao that I’m considering, otherwise I probably won’t do anything…
That one is still on 12/6. The half was moved to 12/13. I don’t really like anything shorter than half-marathons to be honest.
that’s a good time. I ran a 1:47 my in first half marathon this summer but minor shin splints, general laziness and moving halfway across the world has disrupted my running. But running the 10K or 21K in Tainan looks like a good possibility in mid Feb since I’m in Kaohsiung.

There is a 10k/half in Tainan in mid Feb? All I know about Tainan is the Marathon on Jan 31 (with a half - don’t know about a 10) and the ultra-marathon on Feb. 14.

FYI – there is a 10.4 km along with the half and the full. If I run (depends on my school’s schedule), I will run the full…
