yes, Steinbrenner, a billionaire who made millions off of mostly white, but more than a few black athletes should be commended for doing what every other MLB owner did (pay their African American employees the going rate for the job they do). In reality, up until the mid-nineties black players were often paid less than white players of similar talent. I can’t really harp on this though because baseball is a business and white stars bring in more fans. And he should also be commended for firing his white managers? Weak Rush, even for your drug addled ass. Sad to see you grabbing at proverbial straws like this in a weak attempt to draw attention to yourself by stirring this horrible concoction.
Steinbrenner was tyrannical about winning and didn’t give a fuck what it took. To bring race into a remembrance of his life and career is totally immaterial and self-serving BS.

Steinbrenner had his faults, but he was a good man, and it is a shame that he gets dragged into this nonsense in death.

No man, it’s legit. Rush Limbaugh is a joke. I’ve tried listening to his show, and it’s tough. I don’t think what he said is SO outrageous, but it certainly was ridiculous, and stupid, but more importantly, inaccurate and completely irrelevant. What a dumbass.
I practice simultaneous into Chinese on him in the car sometimes. The dross he comes out with is amazing. But he’s laughing all the way to the bank.
All we have around here are conservative radio hosts trying to outdo one another: Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage…on, that and national public radio. Kind of a schizophrenic drive if you forgot to bring a CD to listen to.

Rush’s comments were complete unnecessary and meant to be incendiary. I am not the one playing the race card here, your boy Rush is, and he has been doing it for a while. Surely all you RWBHs know when a race card being played (as stated above), can you not see how it is being done by Mr. Limbaugh, for his benefit here? or is asking you to observe the reality of the situation like asking you to audible away from the right wing playbook? ie impossible.
Actually, as insane as Limbaugh clearly is, there are millions of people who take him seriously as a source of news and ideas, and he’s paid an eight-figure salary to spew his garbage.
He is so influential that precious few Republican legislators dare condemn him.
This is in major contrast to the extremist nutbags on the left, who have little, if any, influence in the American political arena.
