The declassified footage shows an Su-27 Flanker jet making two exceptionally close passes of the uncrewed drone, spraying fuel in front of it, a harassment tactic that US experts say has not been seen before.
On the second pass, the Su-27 moves so close to the MQ-9 Reaper that the image briefly becomes pixelated, indicating a collision had happened.

in international airspace.
Not sure if you’ve heard, there’s a war in Ukraine. Also, international airspace: your analogy would make sense if the drone had flown over the Russian landmass for days…
Edit: Actually I haven’t been following this but just watched the video and read a few articles. The US is being very cautious not to escalate, which is good.

I have an answer for you. It’s a great question and I remember studying this in 5th grade. It’s cool to see how education can help me answer your questions.
There is international airspace where anybody can fly. China’s Balloon entered the airspace of the United States.

That’s some good piloting skills to be fair. But he could have downed his own multimillion jet and killed himself in the process.
He had been trying to hit it for about 30mins, his underside armour should be ok with a prop hit, if he wanted to show off he could have dropped in front of it, then hit it with his afterburners.
Obviously the video is photoshopped as the Russian planes where nowhere near it, the drone just fell out the sky.
