Russia vs. Ukraine 2024

Many Russians often state they are not into politics when asked about Putin’s war.
But Putin’s politics will catch up with them some day.

There is a lot to unpack in this image. The state they live in…
The consequences of letting a dictator with fake elections run the country for decades.
The men are drafted and sent to die, even young conscripts end up dead or in captivity.
The war and invasion of a neighboring country can be stopped by the Russian people. Most of them choose to do nothing.

I’ve been busy and missed it. So who won? Ukraine I hope.

For the past 2 weeks, not a lot of grounds exchanged hands.

The Kursk Salient is still in place, but no progress. Russia is slowly closing in on Pokrovsk and Ugledar. Still remains to be seen if any serious push from the Russian side will come before early winter snows make it too muddy to traverse until winter fully sets in.

Ugledar encirclement by Russia was completed in an overnight pincer move. Remaining defenders are trapped in the western part of the city though reports of squad size elements exfiltrating north have been documented. At this time it doesn’t appear that the Ukrainians plan to break the encirclement to evacuate the garrison or attempt to push the Russians back.

Ukraine’s sovereignty is gone … Debt trap.

Wouldn’t be surprised to hear if Blackrock and Vanguard were involved as well. Those are some evil fuckers running those companies…

Hey man what you need to know is Blackrock are the good guys. They care about people and their homes, they got the contract to rebuild London when this happens.

Yeah, I’m just filled with hope and confidence for what the future holds with “15-minute Smart Cities” and what would follow afterwards…but anyway, we digress.

Russian capture of Ugledar took place this morning. This flips the tactical advantage in Russian favor with the buildings providing overwatch and artillery spotting positions for coverage and control of the area.

If the Ukranians aren’t going to attempt to take the city back it would be prudent to destroy the taller buildings to limit any tactical advantages gained by the Russians.

Yeah those soviet era buildings are immensely strong. Direct hits from fab 3000 they still stand.

Whoever the general was that captured ugledar, hes a genius. He methodically picked off the surrounding key points before going for the supply/escape route. Cruelly, he left a tiny escape option for Ukrainians, ensuring big losses during retreat in the open. Some good vids on youtube coming out about it.

Ugledar is truly a perfect setting for a fortress city.

That’s impossible. He’s managed to rise to general in the Russian military. Next you’ll be telling me Putin is a genius.

Not cruelty, but sound strategy. It’s been a U.S. doctrine as well to reduce casualties on the attacking side and maximize casualties for the retreating defenders using this method.

Get them to evacuate their fortified positions and out into the open. Then use artillery to cut off further escape and box-in the retreating troops and annihilate them by filling the box with heavy artillery barrage.

Position taken, attacking casualties minimized, defenders destroyed and can’t be recycled for the next fight. That’s a smart strategy and a sound one at that.

Yeah its great strategy they are using a lot now.
Seems to have replaced the old classic complete encirclement method, which must require a lot more troops and risk of counterattack.
Just let the drones and arty do the work.

If invaders cruelly slaughtering people defending their homes is good for you to watch, just, wow

Not really cruel as mentioned above, just good tactics.

Perhaps those people should not have bullied the good people of donbass. Then none of this would have happened.

As it stands now the only thing they are “defending” is Blackrocks investments lol

That’s some very twisted logic.

Follow the money… Putin was paid by Blackrock to invade Ukraine. Everything comes back to the bribes paid to Putin

Conspiracy theorists should all jump in a bucket together and swim in their own shite.
