I’m not sure from your description what the problem was. I’ve been very happy with EVA, but have only been flying frequently for 5-6 years. And every airline sprays me with insecticide when I land in Europe. It’s a regulatory thing that they must do. I bring a face mask.

Most likely you will be fine. On the other hand, it just takes one drone or a misguided missile to take down a plane. So mostly a question whether you are willing to take the small additional risk compared to a flight avoiding relevant airspaces to save some money on airfare.

I don’t worry much about flying through the airspace - I am more concerned about transferring in Dubai / Abu Dhabi / …

Personally, I do have a flight booked with Emirates from TPE->DBX->ZRH in May - I do hope that the situation improves until then. Otherwise, I will probably cancel / reschedule (whatever means less money wasted…) and book with another airline…
Just checked fares and they are about half of what they were before for a transfer in Dubai
