San Francisco is worse than the third world in some places

Hmm, not really…

I thought Taipei main station and Wanhua looked bad, but this is just third world.

Looks real bad, sad how a city with many very rich people becomes like this. Its like a bad dream.

What do you mean? Living in San Francisco rent free. Free food and healthcare. Lots of fresh air and good company. I could see myself living rough on the public dime, no problem. I’ve actually done it for a year after I got out of the military.

So wait, no VA assistance, GI bills and such?

Just don’t try the tranq. :slightly_smiling_face:

I was high on life. It was a weird and exhilarating year at the same time.

San Francisco was much nicer and chill in the baby boomer’s heyday. They are now a toxic mess.

Went to my parent’s place and I did not like SF much at all.

Good Lord…that’s what my junior high social living teacher said when she was encouraging us kids to stay off drugs. I don’t think it worked.

I’m obnoxiously happy with my life.

Well that’s annoying. :slightly_smiling_face:

Sorry you have no idea what you are actually saying here.

You have resident rights in at least three countries and you have property, perhaps plural.

I’m with @PeiHua-Connie here. The scene in SF is friggen’ rough. Please do not minimize it.

You wouldn’t last a day or two in those hellholes in San Fran.
Well you might but it will be baddddd. Plenty of videos online to view about them. Most of them seem to have mental health problems (either from previous abuse or genetic predisposition )but many also have very serious physical health problems too that haven’t been treated over many years, disabilities due to diabetes for instance.
Of course drug and alcohol addiction are the most common theme backing everything up. It’s incredibly dangerous living in those places , you can get robbed or beaten at any time.
