Saudi Arabia reportedly shuts down half its oil production after drone attack

holy crap

what comes around, goes around.
Their war in Yemen is a losing effort. Kind of like another war in MidEast. which one was that?

Good. The Saudi regime is one of the worst on the planet. The war they’re waging in Yemen is unjust, cruel and motivated by greed and self-interest.

Exactly, but they’re given a pass. I for one am tired of them. They’re uncivilized savages that happen to sit on oil.

That’s why we need to hurry up with these damn electric cars.

We can kill two birds with one stone… save the environment, and tell the Saudis to go screw.

Problem 1 is that the world leaders are actively engaged in a mad power grab over remain oil fields and securing even more.

Problem 2: instead of oil dependency, we will have rare earth dependency…And most rare earth deposits are in China.

Correct, which China is fully aware of and has led to a push to grab rare earth deposits elsewhere which was the backdrop for Trumps comments on buying Greenland.

Not sure that was ever covered in the MSM or they just went with “things wacky Trump does”. Pretty sure for the most part it was the latter, a couple of sites went with the former.

Are these the new fangled solar powered electric cars?

Yeah, bad news for anyone getting oil from Iran. Side note, the US strategic reserves are like EEEnormous. Bet China trade talk softens this week.

They’re more than given a pass they are supported with massive arms sales from the US and the UK and France which are then used to obliterate innocent civilians in a foreign country.

It’s a LOT of cash. 4.7 billion GBP for UK alone .

Component parts are produced in Ireland.

Then there’s this guy

Mr Trump bypassed Congress last month in an attempt to push through the $8bn (ÂŁ6bn) deal, citing threats to Saudi Arabia from its bitter rival Iran.

BBC News - US Senate votes to block Trump’s $8bn Saudi arms sale

Some Republicans don’t agree with the sales including Lindsay Graham.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who usually supports Mr Trump, voted to block the sale and was forthright in his criticism of Saudi Arabia.

They don’t need drones and war toys. Just heavy duty Roombas with C4 strapped to them. That’ll tank out a refinery holding tank. Iran may really REALLY regret this course of action. Payback, for them, on any scale would be devastating.

Trump said yesterday that USA is locked and loaded to respond to Saudi attacks. Another Middle East war on near horizon?

More Gobshittery…
Is he saying he’s waiting for Saudi Arabia to tell him what to do?
:sunglasses:

Trump tweeted: “[We] are locked and loaded depending on verification, but are waiting to hear from the Kingdom [of Saudi Arabia] as to who they believe was the cause of this attack and under what terms we would proceed!”

Saudi Arabia is ready and willing to fight to the last drop of American blood (or first drop of Saudi blood.)

Oh look the Middle East is destabilised.

What a surprise !!!

And the evidence reminds me of good ole Colin Powell and his trucks.

Never Mind that I don’t believe a word of what they said, anybody can operate drones from any direction. It doesn’t mean anything :joy:
The Saudis themselves could have done it.

One official said there were 19 points of impact on the targets and the attacks had come from a west-north-west direction - not Houthi-controlled territory in Yemen, which lies to the south-west of the Saudi oil facilities

Maybe the Saudis funded the terrorist attacks themselves? Or certainly factions are trying to sabotage their state oil company from going public while also increasing the current oil prices

Idk, I just don’t trust these people. Rumor has it, they have too much oil and they don’t want anyone to know or else oil prices would drop.

It’s another war. Who caused it? Iran, SA, US reelection? Who knows.

Lots of arms dealers , oil dealers and private security companies rubbing their hands together…They can’t wait !
