Japan has had this culture for a few decades already. Interchanging eyes, hair, hands, passes etc etc. They are just more realistic. The root of the issue seems unchanged. I agree, it is worrying in a mental health sense

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that phrase quoted is implying a much deeper meaning. That simply means everything looks better later, evolution, grass is greener and all those other sayings and quotes that likely hint at the exact same problem with peoplethat actually point back at ourselves and the human ego being the core of the problem.

I think it’s accurate in the idea of technical advancement. AI is about deep learning so longer the time goes, there is more data the AI can use to correct itself. More the number of iterations = more accurate the generated result is to real life.
