It seems four guesses is today’s [word of the day]
@Scholardle 130 4/6
It’s only a spoiler if you know the word!
@Scholardle 130 5/6
On this one, I went to sleep deliberately before finishing it (I took a nap). Then I got up, and the head teacher called and said there are no classes this evening. Then I went to this thread, and I was like, “Didn’t I already do this one?” Then I found my unfinished puzzle.
Not a very scholarly word…
@Scholardle 131 4/6
@Scholardle 131 6/6
By guessing a preposterous word, I got sufficient letters sufficiently positioned to get me set up to guess the right word. But that was just luck. I don’t recommend that method. It could have gone the other way.
meh, it’s scientific enough. more often used as an adjective, and especially in the negative.
@Scholardle 131 4/6
The homonym I had in mind had 6 letters…
But then, that makes it a homophobe, no?
@Scholardle 131 4/6
@Scholardle 131 5/6
Most definitely a scholarly word…
@Scholardle 132 3/6
@Scholardle 132 4/6 @writefullapp
Funnily, my last two wrong guesses were directly related to the correct word!
@Scholardle 132 5/6 @writefullapp
I don’t think I’ll ever get one. But I know a few who have.

I didn’t get the word today. A long way from the prize.
What you mean you know a few?
Like personally?
I did it one or two times.
I regularly have lunch with a couple. and I personally know about a dozen more, most through business but one vaguely in the family… his son married my cousin.
