I think the lack of any Nanos in the shops when I want one is a sign that I should get one of these pups instead. Black, of course.

pretty much every apple site/store throughout the world has this new ipod online, except, yes, you guessed, apple taiwan. anyone have any contacts that might now?
Japan looks to be the only updated Asian site. They are a big market after all.
HK is up - HK$2400 for the 30G
I ‘assume’ the 30G will stay the same price as the old 20G in Taiwan… if so, HK really aint much cheaper (at todays exchange rate)
Screw all ipods – This is what I want.
I’m not sure how useful this is. I can’t remember the last time I desired to watch videos on a tiny screen when I was out and about. Music listening - yes, but videos? What’s the point? I think I’ll stick with my iRiver 20G, which has better sound, audio in/out, FM and recording capabilities.
the point for me - its smaller in size and lighter than my 20G - which i was replacing anyway. and its black. i dont even want a colour screen or photo viewing ability, just smaller, lighter and black.

ARRRRRRRGGGGHHHH… this model wont be here for TWO (2) MONTHS… yes thats right… and there is a ONE MONTH delay on nanos
I agree, if I would be in the market for an iPod, I would probably go for the video. Less $'s per MB, or am I 3 magnitudes to low, should it be less $'s per GB?
Right that’s it. The secondary mission on my vacation is to FIND a Black 60g iPod Video.
Why would anyone buy one of these? Wait six weeks and see what new one they come up with and buy that. Or wait another six weeks after that. Or after that.
Seriously, Apple are really pushing the boundaries of making their stuff look deliberately disposable and rapidly obsolescing.
