Screw the nano!

It will be fun replacing the battery since it’s soldered in.

having had my fingers burned twice by portable devices, I would suggest cooling your passions for the nano…

There are many reports about how easy it is to break one of these things. It’s damn easy! I know it wouldn’t survive my usage, and I am a careful user. The nano screen is very fragile, and the IPod regular skips after 20 minutes vibration. Which of itself, can’t be good the the hard drive at all.

Look at the quality of the construction, and consdier carefully the kind of torture you may put that device through.

As with all things Apple, repairs are a huge hassle in Taiwan, are they not? I can’t just take it to the pc shop across the road or wherever.

Nightmare.

Kenneth

i have had one problem with an apple product in 8 years using them

the hype about nanos having issues is brought about by whom? pc related mags? complaints always hit forums more than the good stuff. apple sold 1 million nanos in 17 days… the complaint rate is 1%. not bad i reckon.

as for the disposability and regular updates? maybe, but intel and MS have been doing the same for years

Apple…the Scientology of the computer world.

yeah right

i think it more as the reliable, trouble free workhouse of the computer world.

Does Apple have a spellchecker?

spell checker should be part of forumosa not apple :raspberry:

It does come with a hammer to bash people upside the head.

There is a system-wide popup dictionary. Beat that!

I think I’ll go retro and go back to DOS, or even better, CDE.

I couldn’t post anything til now, coz I was crying so much, I bought my 60G not long ago and I should have waited…What was I thinking? :wall:
Now, I’ll have to buy the new one! God!!!
I’ll sell mine…but who would buy it now? Anybody? 60g iPod Photo 10.000NT. :rainbow:

 Yahoo Bids is the best bet. If you need help with a Chinese ad, I can ask a friend.

New, sealed 60 GB Ipods (4G) are going for less than 10k on Yahoo auctions.

and the iCBM.

I’m testing out DVD conversion for the iPod. At least I can see the quality and the file size. It took about 25 minutes to rip the DVD. We’ll see how long it takes to convert a 90 min movie to H.264.

The video is a side feature at present but even as is shows a great deal of useful in terms of being able to share video - ie. latest home movie etc.

There really isn’t a much better device for playing mp3’s but I hate my iPod shuffle. Wish I would have waited.

 I’ll bet you a beer. The new iPod sounds better than your iRiver.

This is something I don’t understand.

WHY do so many people seem to be all “Oh holy shit new iPod must get rid of current, perfectly functional, not-broken-or-anything iPod I only bought a few weeks ago!”?

Let’s put it another way. Oh holy shit new tits in front of my eyes must get rid of current, perfectly functional, not-broken-or-anything girlfriend or wife I only got a few weeks ago.

You’re not an art lover tetsuo, huh?

If I was paying damn near NT$10,000 for each set of tits I might be a little slower to change. Normal people don’t just up and buy a new car 'cause their old one is outdated. They don’t do it with TVs, stereos, anything. Why keep pissing away money just because Steve popped out another iPod? Would it kill you to wait a few months 'till they’re a bit cheaper, the next new one’s come out, or your current one’s done its dash?

Plus you can’t get a titty-fuck from an iPod

 oh but the extasy. digital yo!

yo but who wants to be normal! like whatever!

The most important thing you can learn in life is learning how to love.
