Selfishness and evil

That’s a nice way of looking at it.

The irony being that i feel happy today but do take on board that maybe, yes something could have gone very wrong. If she’s slipped from our not so sturdy hands she might have fell and drowned in s h i t e and me and the tough old coot got sued. Interesting thread anyway.

You did a good thing, if there were more people who help strangers in need, the world would be much better place.

You said her face was covered with shit, so it wasn’t like she was in it only up to her waist or so, right?

She was panicking in and I got it all over too ut I think ity drainage water not feaeces. She was as having a fit. It was up to her waste. I think she was mentally unstable or just in panic. I was telling her to look at me too.like look up not down

Not really the main point, but … had the drain cover been removed and left open, and she just walked into it? It’s possible but seems a bit unlikely. Maybe she had dropped something down there?

Yeah she dropped something. Wow smart that explains why she was covered top to bottom.

Maybe she lost her shit.

Good on you. You’re probably a better neighbor than people know or, and I hate to say it, deserve. Anyway, well done. :bowing:

I was walking in heavy rain in New Taipei a few days ago, as I lost my umbrella. A car stopped a man got out and gave me an umbrella. That was that. I was in a good mood all day after that.

Do you look probably Chinese?

I do not (look Japanese) and get offers like that (often me not using one in light rain, Taiwanese tend use umbrellas even with a few drops of rain). Recently offered free betel nut, in this case maybe I look Chinese to them. (and Cigs in Italy from young adults , that are surprised I do not smoke)

Given your gallantry not yet three weeks past, be there another man more deserving to be gifted an umbrella thus? It sounds like karma.

I moot that this thread be renamed Selflessness and Good.

Nice!

All I get are sneers and accusations

Someone gave me an umbrella once at the MRT station with a torrential rain coming down. They said they were headed to the airport.

accusations? that is bad.
Sneers: Seems like Finland but maybe just the common face people have (and in fact a happy person)

I think Japanese and French probably get the best treatment from Taiwanese these days.
