Any thoughts on a good brand, and a good place to buy a sewing machine?
i’d like to know if there’s a special place to buy sewing machines and sergers, and also sewing supplies…thread, needles, etc. is there a “sewing stuff street” 
I don’t know of an area that has many shops but I see one here and there. I am aware of a “SINGER STORE” near my home. I see sergers and sewing machines on display when I walk by. It is in Banciao on Jhongshan Rd. Section one. The number is probably in the high teens or low 20s. It’s on the right as you are going southwest on JhongShan Rd. Get onto section 1. Go past FE21 which will be on your left and go about one more light. Watch for the large KOJEN school sign on the right. The Singer Shop is about 5 stores before you get to the corner with Kojen School. Hope this helps.
If you take the train from Taipei, get off at Banciao Station (No MRT yet). Go out the exit nearest the top of the elevator and look for FE21. You can see the large sign on top of the building. Get to that and you will have your bearings.
i think i saw sewing machines being sold at the entrance of Carrefour or Tesco. I think.
