Not sure that would be illegal in Australia, it is just an arranged sugar daddy relationship at the one end and private prostitution at the other, maybe it would breach residential tenancy laws, but I’m sure it could be organised outside of that regime. Is sex work illegal in Canada? If the story was the landlord increased the rent or threatened eviction in order to extract sex…. Now that would be wrong. ---

I’m in two minds on this, some form of this has occurred since the beginning of our species. Also, some female students (an extreme minority) might actually seek out this type of arrangement whilst studying. Should we punish those women who feel they don’t have the time and/or means to pay rent? I know of a couple of women who paid their way through university on their backs… an exchange for accommodation with one person seems like a less extreme version of that. ---

If withholding sex is grounds for divorce why can’t it be grounds for eviction? Either way somebody has to move out due to a lack of sex. “The Pingtung District Court has granted a couple’s divorce request on the grounds that they did not have enough sex.
