This is not that kind of forum
Prostitution and provision of sexual services is illegal in Taiwan so we can’t help you with your needs.
You wouldn’t know it based on the number of love motels and sexy ktvs there are
This could be for people in unhappy relationships cheating, or for people who live with their parents. I gather these numbers are also quite high here.
When you see the sock on the door, keep out.
Prostitution is not illegal in taiwan. Brothels are supposed to be set up in appropriately designated districts of which no Taiwan city has chosen to set up an official district.
Even the current mayor of Taipei considered designating an area of Taipei as official red light district but never actually completed the designation.
Prostitution is rampant in Taiwan and nearly the only time any place gets raided or someone gets arrested is if they are breaking some other laws.
Like everything else these days, lots online.
Literally just google “Taipei escort service”. I’ve never used any of these … services… but I looked one day out of sheer curiosity, because it’s weird how many websites are brazenly advertising. I even searched a couple of the domain names and Line IDs and they’ve been active for several years. How legit they are, I dunno
Basically what you’re asking is “wher ma hoes at?”
It’s illegal outside of those designated locations and those locations don’t exist.
No. Maybe there is some confusion between a brothel/red light district and prostitution. Which are not the same things.
Brothels unless licensed are illegal. Thus the opportunity for any city that wants to set them up can do that as a red light district. Because prostitution is legal in taiwan.
Entertainment licenses, where prostitution could be part of those, are all over Taiwan and they collect taxes from those entertainment establishments. KTVs for example.
Also online. Which isn’t illegal unless they don’t meet their right licensing and pay their taxes.
Also licensed companies bringing people into the entertainment industry may or may not be meeting they’re legal and tax requirements and then they shut down if they don’t meet the requirements.
There is no big mystery about prostitution in taiwan. It is legal.
Yes and no. Sex work became illegal in Taiwan under Article 80 of the Social Order and Maintenance Act 1991. This law was later declared unconstitutional but it was left up to local governments to set up legal red light districts. That was the solution.
As you know this never happened. So, yes prostitution was decriminalized but it’s still not strictly speaking legal. Taiwan has never declared that sex workers are working within the law. It’s a typical chabuduo situation.
