Shijr Costco?

I have been there a zillion times…by car.
But I want to try and ride there with my motorcycle today… I live in Xindian and want to get there as fast as possible.

I don’t even know how to get there from Taipei city to be honest! If I can remember correctly there is a road somewhere near Taipei 101 that leads to it…

There’s one road that you can take from the north that goes through some mountains and you end up by the Academica Sinica, but I forget what number it is.
From Taipei, you can just go straight down Zhongxiao E Road until you can’t go any further straight and then take a left over the tracks and a right that will take you there.

Not sure why you would want to go to such a far away Costco on bike, but Doc’s right. In more detail:

If you can find 忠孝 Zhong1xiao4 E. Rd., take that east. Costco Xizhi is on Nangang road, which runs parallel to Zhongxiao, on your left. You can turn left at a number of places on Zhongxiao (including a large intersection at 東新 Dong1xin1 St., where there is a Toyota or Nissan dealer on the left. Do a 2-point left there, and go over Dongxin bridge. At the end of the bridge turn right onto 南港 Nan2gang3 Rd.; or do the jog at Xiang4yang2 Rd. and go over the tracks, or at the end of Zhongxiao at the Academia Sinica road and go over the tracks; the latter is probably the most pleasant, since the east end of Zhongxiao is less hellish than Nangang Rd.) then turn right onto Nangang Rd and take that a long way, until eventually you reach Costco Xizhi on your right.

BTW, coming back on Nangang, there’s a kinda screwy detour for motorcycles on the way which takes you under an overpass. Don’t freak out, just follow the other bikes.

thank you for the detail! I remember that bridge now…

I’m not going to Costco…but my friend lives in the same street…

Xizhi has more ‘stuff’ too. They have about 500 more items than the Neihu store has. Neihu staff told me that a while back.

Yes, V and I do our Costco runs on Sunday evening, just before close. The lack of people almost makes shopping a pleasant experience.
