Shipping a small box to Taiwan

I won’t be able to bring all my things with me to Taiwan, so I need to send a small box there from the UK. Nothing fantastic, just a pair of birkenstocks, a few clothes, maybe a book or two and some knicknacks. I think it’ll be just a little too heavy to send by Royal Mail though, so I don’t really know what to do.

Please humour me if this is a stupid question, but what else can I use to ship this box? Would something like UPS or DHL do it?

Ship two boxes?

Think the limit for the post office may be 20kg. If you have more stuff then you can look at these folks

I don’t know about the UK, but in Australia, the post office has a courier service that operates the same way as DHL/Fedex/UPS etc. Maybe you could find out if the UK has something similar.

Not neccessary. Taiwan is already full of small boxes.

Er, the Royal Mail should send stuff up to 20kgs? That’ll be quite expensive. Why not send an extra suitcase using the Excess Baggage Company at Heathrow?

I used parcel2go http://www.parcel2go.com a while ago. I send about 25kgs and paid just around GBP100-125. I send the parcel (a suitcase) on a Friday, it arrived on a Monday morning.
