I’m having my family ship a supplement (L-Glutamine) to Taiwan from the U.S. - for my wife who has breast cancer. Its been a savior for her recovery and its 1/3 of the price. My question is to avoid paying taxes what should I declare it as? We plan on sending a total of 4 canisters in 2 shipments (approx 8lbs). Anyone have different experiences using UPS verse USPS?
Always ship USPS. Have shipped many supplements. Always put as gift and have never had them checked or had to pay tax. You can also order glutamine on iherb.com They ship to Taiwan for $10 us dollars and it takes 3 days to arrive. I order everything from them. Never an issue.
I ordered some melatonin and it took 3 weeks to arrive… if you need it fast then go with the more expensive shipping method (anything other than the 4 dollar one)
Hey thanks guys! Any idea what I should list the items as? Supplements, vitamins, protein powder or food… etc. I’m just trying to avoid having to pay the taxes, chemotherapy isn’t covered by the national insurance and is gonna cost me $1,000,000NT, so I’m looking for breaks anywhere!
