I am trying to sell some old clothes on Ebay. However, calculating shipping costs on various sites, it seems like the cost would be around 3000NT. Which doesn’t seem right, as shipping from the US to Taiwan for similar items is around 500NT. Anybody have any idea?
Seems they just updated their website within the last month.
Not that that would have any effect on the price.
I assume you checked here?

You could always take a package to a post office and see what they would charge.
Hi. I noticed this was for small packages. I don’t see large packages listed at the website. Does anyone have advice on what service to use for multiple heavy-weight boxes to be shipped to America without caring about when they will get to America? Even if it take a couple months. This will be for two people who will be shipping their lives back to the homeland. I’m currently looking for services (most likely not DHL). Thanks.
I shipped a small package through the Taiwan Post Office for (maybe) 300NT. The only thing that I didn’t like was that it didn’t come with tracking and took a long time (2-3 weeks) to get there. My friend was giving up hope and then it finally arrived. That is not a good way to ship things sold through Ebay (unhappy customers).
Many years ago I had an investigation opened on me when I shipped a sleeping bag to Canada (from the US) and it got stuck in customs for something like 6 weeks. Thankfully it arrived before they concluded their investigation but it seems that they usually side with the customer. Selling internationally on Ebay = proceed at your own risk. It might work out but a lot of things can go wrong.
