So I imagine it’s not as simple as putting a bottle of whiskey in a cardboard box, taking it to the post office, and sending it off to the U.S. or Canada. Or is it that simple? Does it only involve some kind of import or export duty?
Are there companies based in Taiwan that specialize in this kind of thing?

Mark the packaged as gift. And your good too go. Also I think you need to pay a fee, If the value is over a set limit.

Taiwan doesn’t care, just mark it flammable, alcoholic beverage … at the other side it gets more difficult importing the booze. When caught … don’t know what will happen to the recepient.
