Shocking Taiwanese T-shirts

Just saw this at the Kaohsiung train station.

“Another fucking shirt from another fucking T-shirt company.”

And,

“Hero/or Zero?”

The new copy craze … ATTACK BIRDS … instead of ANGRY BIRDS … :loco:

As I read the first few entries of this thread (started in 2005) I worried that when I arrive in two weeks, Taiwanese people in general will have learned enough English to at least know that the word “fuck” is inappropriate for public. I’m glad to see here that even in 2012, they either still don’t know or don’t care and I that have many wonderfully bizarre, confounding, and inappropriate shirts to look forward to!! :bravo:

GUT ME UP

On a model-like girl, while taking MRT home last night.

a shirt with the following words in bold face font on a white tee:
Blood
Guts
Piss
Puke

… I kinda liked it… if only this was in the Bowery and I was smoking a spliff in front of CBGB’s. Unfortunately, it was in Ximen, and by first impressions he had no clue what his shirt says.

I’ve seen a bunch of funny ones this year. One of them said “SHUT THE FUCK UP”, another one “WORK HARD BABY LIKE YOU GIVE ME HEAD”,

I guess somewhere there are some bored college students making this stuff up.

Other day I saw an approx. 10 year old girl wearing a t-shirt with "I (a heart sign) FCUK (Yes, this was the spelling). She was with family.

Thank God. How to pronounce it?

“Plan for Tomorrow: Party Tonight”

  • Seen on a T-shirt worn by a man at least 60.

One of my students, going to grade six, had this one on this morning…

  BEAT ME
  BITE ME
  EAT ME
  ROCK ME

eff cee you kay.

By the way, I did see, just today, a guy (late teens or early 20s) sporting a T-short that said, in big letters:

FUCK
YOU

I’m pretty sure he’s fully aware of what it means.

Saw a teenage girl around an MRT station the other day wearing a t-shirt that said:

I LOVE BJ

It must have been in reference to … Bridget Jones?
I’ve found Taiwanese love acronyms

I love reading t-shirts with a bunch of text on it!
No… Not really.

I saw one recently that had “I love summer one piece” on it.
Not shocking at all. Just left me a bit confused.

Yesterday I saw a guy with an orange T-shirt. The text on the T-shirt was “iPood”, and on the top of it, the silhouette of a man sitting on a crapper. Curious, to say the least.

Not so much a shocking t-shirt as a moderately cool one. The other day, one of my colleagues was wearing a t-shirt that said, “Bruce Lee is my homeboy.” He’s about fifty years old and from Hong Kong. He’s also a cool/funny guy generally, in a nerdy way.
