Those are the funniest ones, because itâs fairly obvious they donât know what the words say. I saw a 50-odd year old woman on the MRT a couple of days ago wearing a pink âLittle Pussyâ T-shirt.

Sorry to make my first ever post seem less than kind, but someone is seriously advocating that people be âridiculedâ over t-shirts with âbad Englishâ on them. They âdeserve it,â according to him. Of course, in âridiculingâ these people who âlook like mongs,â the author demonstrates his own âbad English,â thus joining the ranks of the âmongsâ himself. The irony is delicious.

if i was an English teacher you might have a point, but i am not and never will be, due to the retarded nature of that industry in Taiwan. if i was an English teacher i would have some pride in my work and make an effort to write proper English on here. as it is i write casually on-line and i donât have the best grammar and spelling, thatâs for sure. if they had t-shirts with only bad grammar and spelling i would not mock them. but its quite different from what is actually going on.
they are wearing things that are offensively stupid and they have NO idea of the meaning. its especially stupid when the only work(almost only) available to a foreigner in Taiwan is English âteachingâ they love English, they want to use it and wear it on their clothes and use it for their businessâs but they pay their English teachers to babysit, act like clowns and to basically give the kids parents face because they are white. its a joke.

People should always make the effort to write like civilized people. I can understand a typo, and I can understand that you might have spelling errors if youâre writing in a language other than your own, but I think thatâs not the case. âCasualâ writing is another way of saying that you donât give a sh*t about the language. Why donât you use pictograms, like cavemen? It would be totally casual!
Back on topic:
T-shirts are like tattoos. People that donât have the slightest idea about a foreign language may decide to get one because the design just looks âcoolâ. I can even imagine a ill-willed designer presenting the art to his clients, and convincing them that the design looks really cool, and laughing inside because he has sold them a t-Ĺhirt that says âIâm a retard and I donât speak englishâ. Or the chinese guy convincing a foreigner addicted to the gym to get a tattoo that says âIâm a sweet transvestiteâ. I canât find another explanation for some of the photos. âMy pussy smells of Pepsi-Colaâ? Come on, thatâs not a typo, and thatâs not a translation error. The guy that did it totally knew what he was doing. Same case for a tattoo I saw once, a ripped bodybuilder that had âgirl powerâ tattooed in japanese (a japanese friend translated it for me)⌠Iâm sure he asked a japanese speaker for the translation of âultimate badassâ or something like that, and the japanese speaker decided to play a joke on him.
Yep, a few months back they put up a new plaque at CKS Memorial. First line read âChiang Kai Shek Memorial Hell.â No way that was a typo.
Iâve a feeling some of these t-shirts are designed in the Philippines or something, having a laugh at our Taiwanese friends.
Or else there are some really strange designers in Taiwan.
I was at World Gym in Taichung around 15:00 or so a few weeks back, and I saw a local woman who appeared to be in her 50âs walk in wearing a bright green shirt that said âIâm not saying Iâm easy, but we can discuss itâ.
