No, it was probably a nazi-style swastika - i know a taiwanese guy here who works in a “punk-syle” (completely off topic for a sec -punk is NOT a japanese fashion style! :raspberry: ), sells all sorts of nazi-emblazoned gear, coz it’s “cool style from japan”… he has no idea what the significance of the insignia is. That aside, there are some hilarious shirts here! Brilliant - i’m very tempted to silkscreen a few of those slogans… lol. I have a shirt that says “sex pot revenge” and has a pic of a skeleton dude with a mohawk jerking off (with a box if tissues at hand) whilst watching porn on TV…

Did you hear recently that a college club in Singapore was censured (? I don’t mean censored, I mean getting disciplined) for choosing Hitler as their role model? The dean made the members of the club study up on the atrocities perpetrated by the Nazis, and give a lecture to the student body about it.
Their justification was just what you said: they found him to be a charismatic leader with the strength of his convictions.
I once saw a young girl maybe about 10 years old wearing a T-shirt with a little kitten on the front and the words " LICK MY PUSSY" underneath.
Yes, indeed there r certainly some classics in either vile ignorance or amusing counterpoint going around in T-shirts these days. There must be a mass of factories in China pumping this stuff out. In the last two years or so I have noticed more and more marijuana-related clothing. Usually it is a combination of a pot-leaf and some stoner-related slogan. Tonight I walked 10 mins to my in-laws house, and in that short period I saw three mary-jane T-shirts and even a bumper sticker on the back of a Toyota. Seems bizarre for a country with such an official drug policy as this one has.
I saw this baby for a mere 100nt at Wufenpu the other night.
I didn’t buy it.

It had a trippy cartoon picture in the middle of it. I’ll never forget one time walking on a glorious high cliff coastal path in NE England. She and I were a little ‘worse for wear’. Then on the path we came across a curious-looking old man who had a falcon on his arm. He stopped right in front of us and stared at the MUCK T-shirt with the most appalled expression imaginable, for about 5 seconds. Then without saying a word he ran like he’d seen the devil. Perhaps it melted his mind that day?

It really makes one wonder about the sex lives of the people who don’t get the lewdness of those shirts so they slap them onto the backs of their children.

I’ve seen some raunchy ones like someone wearing a picture of two fat naked people looking at each other (the man might have been erect) with the words “Mission Impossible” written underneath it. I haven’t seen those “Did she deserve it?” shirts with the baby on the front in years.
I guess there are some losers prancing around in Chinese character tee-shirts (or more likely Japanese characters) that say nothing or say something offensive without having a clue.
Kinda like the surfer groupie in Bali who had the characters for horse, dog, and love tattooed backwards on her back (apparently she’s trysexual) and didn’t appreciate me laughing as she tried to hit on my Balinese instructor…even after I pointed out why I was laughing. Go figure. I’m sure the other Taiwanese tourists got a kick out of it too, especially since she insisted on walking around Kuta in a bikini and board shorts, presumably to show off her tats and her t…um… :s But I digress.

A publisher has withdrawn tourist maps from CKS International Airport showing a pop singer with a profanity on her T-shirt, the company said yesterday. The free map of Taipei shows singer Vivian Hsu (徐若瑄) wearing a pink sleeveless T-shirt with the words “dirty white slut” printed on it in gothic letters, a pink cap and hot pants. The words seemed to refer to promiscuity.
