Can I rent an apartment without an ARC?
I did rent an apartment without an ARC. The CEO of the company I worked for vouched for me with the landlord. Basically like co signing a car loan.
hm I have no one to underwrite me- if I find a short term rental on 591.com is it likely the landlowrd will rent it to me?
I don’t know. In my case I needed an underwriter although I have good credit and rental history back in the states. Good luck!
Never heard of a guarantor being needed for apartments.
Just call different landlords till one agrees. Its a renters market in Taiwan.
You will likely need to leave a deposit.
I am sure if you meet with the landlord and pay up front month to month (and add in the last month’s rent up front) someone will bite. There are a ton of vacancies on our fair isle and landlords are basically gagging for it.
