Apparently it doesn’t make a difference. As mentioned to yyy, I did this and still received the lower amount.
So, what do they say at the tax office when you explain that the amount stated by employer is incorrect, and the correct amount is XYZ and here are the transactions records to show that ?
Seems a bit odd that this discrepancy is not corrected by the tax office ex officio.
They just took the real figures and photocopies of my pay slips and bank book. Didn’t say much else. It was very busy at that time of year, so perhaps that made a difference. I am in shock too that they wouldn’t chase it up too.
If you have concrete proof i would push the tax guys. If they are too lazy, mention to them the police office is next.
