My ancestors have been on American land for 400 years. Whites have been on American land for 550 years or so. Sooner or later one has to say “yep! It’s their land now.”
These arguments exist to just give some nonsense moral high ground to excuse their lack of power and authority on land that USED to be theirs
I’m well aware of Taiwan’s history, but let’s be honest about what we’re discussing here. We’re not talking about adding to Taiwan’s existing diversity; we’re talking about importing people from places that are dysfunctional for a reason.
Look at what happened across Africa after colonial rule ended - nations that had infrastructure and systems collapsed into corruption, tribal warfare, and perpetual poverty. Why would Taiwan want to import those problems?
The ‘diversity is our strength’ mantra is a Western fantasy that ignores the reality that some cultures produce functional societies and others produce failed states.
Taiwan has built something remarkable - safe, orderly, and prosperous. They’d be fools to risk that by importing people from cultural backgrounds that have proven incapable of maintaining civilization without outside guidance. Call it whatever you want, but the results speak for themselves.
The real mistake European settlers made was not following the playbook that so called “Native Americans” used themselves. When the Paleo-Indians were in the Americas, later tribes didn’t preserve their reservations or apologize for taking their land - they wiped them out completely. The Sioux, Apache, Comanche and others were conquerors who eliminated rival tribes and took their territory without looking back. They understood that you either erase your competitors or they eventually come back to claim what’s ‘theirs.’ Europeans, with their Christian concepts of mercy and treaties, made the error of leaving remnants behind. They should have done what the Native Americans did to the Paleo-Indians - complete replacement, no survivors to nurse grievances for centuries. The ‘moral high ground’ is just what losers talk about while the winners enjoy the land they took.
The German seemed pretty efficient at it. Got any suggestions? 
If you want to exclude people then a points system isn’t the way to go. The worse the source country the higher the motivation to play the game and collect points by whatever means.

Personally, I thought as humanity we were past that stage. And our societies have stopped following the rule of the stronger - and instead started to follow the rule of the law and democracy. But the recent years have shown that we’re absolutely not…

The Nazis talked the Germans into believing that they are a superior race - and that the world is theirs to take. It ended in the murder of millions and a world war. Nothing to be proud of as a German - it wasn’t “worth” it at all.
I do hope other countries and societies realize this, too, and don’t make the similar mistakes by believing they are superior by blood and believing that this perceived superiority somehow gives them the legal and moral right to exercise power over others…
There’s different levels of foreigner treatment… I think the foreigner tier list goes something like:
S Tier: Japanese
A Tier: White American/Canadian/British/first tier EU countries like France/AU/NZ
B Tier: ABC, CBC, other rich countries/regions like Singapore, Hong Kong
…
F Tier: Southeast Asian and darker skin toned countries
Z Tier: Mainland China spouse
So first impressions being important, once you reveal your origins people will start to judge you. If you’re on the S or A tier list, you have it good. Being rich bumps you up a tier or two since the people who judge you tend to be materialistic.
To be fair I don’t think Taiwan is particularly bad on discrimination. Japan, Korea, and HK treat certain ethnicities worse.

I would never believe that women would chose a south Asian over an American.
I know on this forum we assume that the image of white people are of losers but In real society out there, they are the ones getting picked up the most. Maybe not all of them but compared to other nationalities, a white face is still preferred over let’s say a brown one.
