Should the school pay for your visa?

I recently received my work permit for my school. I went to get a visa today and didn’t expect it to cost 5400 NTD. Should the school pay for this or not?

My school paid for mine, and it only cost them 1000nt. Why is it 5400 for you?

My ARC will cost 1000, but the visa was 5400 NTD. I don’t know why it’s 5x more expensive than yours.

depends on your contract and negotiation.

As Tando says it depends on your contract. I believe most schools you have to pay for the visa change and ARC yourself though. You can always ask your school, worse case is they say no. Be lucky yours is 5,200NTD. When I did mine I believe is was either 8,000 or 10,000NTD. It’s been almost 4 years so I might not be remembering that correctly either.
