Traumatized Kerry supporters in Florida seek therapy: report
MIAMI (AFP) - Shocked supporters of defeated US presidential candidate John Kerry are seeking help from psychologists, who refer to their condition as “post-election selection trauma.” (PEST)
“I had one friend tell me he’s never been so depressed and angry in his life,” [psych. trauma specialist Douglas] Schooler said. “I observed patients threatening to leave the country or staring listlessly into space. They were emotionally paralyzed, shocked and devastated,” he told the daily.
“We’re calling it ‘post-election selection trauma’ and we’re working to develop a counseling program for it,” said Rob Gordon, the Boca Raton-based executive director of the American Health Association.
Yet more proof, if anyone needs it, that Kerry supporters need help. :loco:
oh yeah…you’re going to get your pee-pee smacked for this one…lol
Compassionate Conservatives!!
Ah but they are traumatized Tetsuo:
Obviously, they have been in need of psychological help for quite some time. Maybe they can enroll in a Reality for Beginners class. I would be willing to have my tax dollars fund such an effort.

Is this yet more fiscal irresponsibility from the right???

A website about immigrating to Canada got a lot more interest after the election. Is there a list of celebs who threatened to emmigrate if Bush won but are still there ?

Haha BB:
Leave no child behind is what Bush said and it is what he meant. I assume by “child” he means both those who physically fit the bill and those adult with childlike temperments who “don’t play well with others” and must learn how to “share please.” haha Ergo I assume that the money has already been funded non?
This is just another example of the biased right-wing media blowing up statements from some new age hack.

So what are the compassionate conservative’s big plan on reuniting the nation’s division, if they already know that many of Kerry’s supporters are having high emotional distress, to the degree of post-election selection trauma?
Keep on throwing more salts to the injury? Add oil to the fire? I guess we’ll be really happy if eliminate the Left, completely, push them over the coast and drop the lefties into the ocean, right? Guess what, the Pan-Blue supporters in Taiwan are having a massive post-election selection trauma too, and it left our island completely divided. This is an important issues that needs to be treated sensitively and carefully by both side’s political leaders, it’s supporters, and the media. Otherwise it just end up taking longer than necessary for people’s emtion to heal up.
But no, everyone are happier to let the endless bickerings go on. The blood thirsty media are more than happy to dig deeper into these wounds, and politicians equally as happy to throws insults at each other on these programs to further their own ends. At least right now, at this exact time, on MSNBC, the program started out talking about post-election selection trauma and ended up in them bickering over America’s moral and religious values. And from what I can see, the left side is looking pretty clueless and the right is very vicious and won’t let up their attacks. It seems to me, that, at least some of these right-wing politicians or commentators, are way over their heads just because Bush had won the re-election, and are way more interested to throw attacks whenever possible rather to discuss things socially.
Agence France-Presse is right-wing? Richard, you’ve OUTDONE yourself with your subtle brand of one-liner humor this time!
As far as “new age hack”, though, isn’t that a little harsh and un-PC? He is clearly a Kerry type, and for you to denigrate your fellow travelers is hardly a way to benefit your movement.
