Simplifying Life

At the risk of boring everyone, this thread got me to thinking about my cousin. She simplified her life rather drastically a few years ago. She used to be a vegetarian graphic artist, living in the hot singles part of Chicago and dating a band-boy studmuffin. They got married, moved to rural Wisconsin, had a kid, and now own a small house with a large back yard, some ducks, a couple (for the moment) of rabbits, a few chickens, and so on.

Their life is simple: take care of the kid, work a couple of basic part-time jobs, feed the animals, and drive older cars. They seem to be doing fine. They’re not setting the world on fire, but they’re relaxing and enjoying life. Taking the kid to the pool, going on tractor rides, that sort of thing.

It seemed pretty nice.
