I bought Skoda Yeti with Multimedia System with PAPAGO PN10.
So I think this system also used on VW/AUDI with slightly different interface.
Skoda dealer has no idea where and if its possible to change system interface to english.
Anybody know if it is possible at all to change interface from chinese to english as well as PAPAGO PN10 interface and voice guide?
R u familiar with Neihu area in taipei? There is a VW dealer there in Rui Guang rd. A little to the right there is an audio shop (I think right beside suzuki dealer) which I think install GPS system for VW/skoda.
A friend of mine who bought a skoda superb in Chung Ho dealer was told by the dealer to bring his car to that Neihu audio shop when he wanted to update his papago GPS map. Your papago GPS probably is installed by them.
I’m pretty sure the headunit interface can be switch to english (mine can but require to re-install the software) but I dont think you can do anything with the GPS
so which yeti do you get?
I got 4x4 TDI. Dealer tried hard to sell this car offering some little extras free of charge.
But I feel he shorted me out because its weird: car comes with top of the line options including panoramic sunroof, but external mirrors are not electrically foldable. I think I need to talk to a dealer about this.

I know the chap who does the stereo conversions for Skoda’s Taiwan market.
I have to say the local Taiwanese stereo interfaces are quote awful on Skodas. The GOS unit cannot be switched to work in English either.
The only English system is through Garmin, but honestly the best system you can use is just google maps. There is no decent in-car GPS unit in Taiwan, period. The navigation controls are awful or they are inaccurate.
I wouldn’t fit one as I’d be embarrassed to sell one. I always recommend just having a decent stereo, and either using a Garmin (English) Dash mounted unit, or just go with the more superior Google maps on a decent android phone. I’ve heard recently that apple maps have improved somewhat too and have a good review from one customer who uses his ipad for navigation.
Yeah, I tried to play with at least GPS soft (PAPAGO) but this version seems no way to have english language, I need to install either different ver. of Papago or my favorite Garmin. So far no go.
I asked dealer to inquire at their service shop if its possible to install different software on that head unit. Soft (even I don’t understand chinese) just GUI looks very … useless
