Sleeping pills

The pharmacies here in Hsinchu don’t seem to stock sleeping pills of the same strength as I can find at home. Can anyone point me to a shop in Taipei that might have these?

went to a doc 2 years ago for some - little suckers, but they knocked me out after 15-20 minutes, and i’m not exactly small.

you may need to see a doc to get them though, and you surely know it, but be careful with 'em …

I had several large bottles of melatonin shipped from the States but later learned that GNC carries melatonin here. I don’t know if GNC has a store in HsinChu but there is one across from Mackey (Machey) (spelling?) hospital in Taipei. Mealtonin is an unregulated supplement but does the job for me and I also am a large guy. Works in about 1/2 hour and is fairly cheap.

I get sleeping tablets for the regular 12 hour time shifts of international travel. Stillnox give me 4-6hours sleep and no hangover, but that is not to say they will effect others the same. I will use them for 3 days max then just go with the time change and sleep or stare at the ceiling all night.

I can get just 2 at a drug store I don’t know if I’m lucky. A foil pack of 10 maybe or go to the doc and get a script and be sure.

I had a smartarse chemist in Taouyan tell me that “No, I could not have sleeping tablets because I was going to make drugs out of them” :unamused:
