Woke up today to the remarkable news that’s its snowing in my home town of Wellington; not remarkable if you live in the frozen north of course but unheard of in Wellington.

Great to see all those expressions of pure joy and fun. Fantastic. And in a few more weeks I’ll be hooking up with my favourite Wellingtonian. I think he left just today or yesterday for Europe.
It’s been unreal here on the Kapiti coast. Snowed in Palmerston North yesterday which as far as I can remember has never happened in that city.
I have colleagues snowed in in Queenstown, and another two in Dunedin (poor suckas).
Extended vacation for both sets of them… but not enough clothes, the poor wee bastids. And I need them back at work NOW, dammit.
