So some parent complained that I chew gum in my class

I used to mainline china white in my break time. But that was thirty years ago.

Times have changed.

I used to blow China Blue in mine (I drew the line at Wu Bai though, I do have standards).

Tell kids that these days and they wouldn’t believe ya. Bloody snowflakes!

Yes, it’s unprofessional. Just stop doing it and move on ffs.

My mom’s uni professor used to smoke a pipe in class. This was the early 70s.

You don’t allow students to drink coffee? That’s strange IMO.

Does that have to do with their age though? My uni students are even more addicted to coffee than I am (I sometimes badger them to bring an extra latte to class).

Are you clocking out for this break? From my understanding and experience if you don’t clock out then you should still be getting paid, even if your contract says your paid for teaching hours only.

Taiwanese women think they will get Superman jaws if they chew gum too much. OK for boys but not so good for girls.

Talking about kids, yeah. No, i don’t let them drink coffee lol. OP said kids

How about water? Are they allowed to drink at all in class? If so, why aren’t they allowed to drink tea or coffee?

Bring back compulsory betelnut breaks I say. Betelnut is what made Taiwan great!

Nicotine and caffeine helped make NASA great. Who knows…

Kids aren’t allowed to drink water in class. It should be done during a break time.

But if they are speaking, don’t they need to wet their mouths occasionally?

Kids aren’t allowed to speak in class.

I exaggerated.

just let your students experience smoker’s breath for a few classes and then you’ll have parents asking you to start chewing gum again
