Does anyone have recommendations for NGOs or other volunteer/social work in Taipei? In the past, I have taught some underprivileged students Math and English (not in Taiwan) and found that experience to be very fulfilling. I am looking for opportunities again to contribute. In particular, anything education related would be great.

Count me in too if you get hold of such an organization. One would be delighted to teach science to youngsters or teens. One is rather free of duties, these days.
not something set up for foreigners doing volunteers, but if you contact, some of them might be glad to accept your help.

back in the day, foreigners needed work permit to volunteer, not sure if this is still the case.
still better to confirm, but for charitable activities, not in the case.
I’m also interested! I used to volunteer at Women Who Code back in my country, but I’m open to any organization that teaches math or coding.
Thanks for the links everyone, but still can’t find a place that fits with my goals. I was looking for opportunities to teach English/Math/Coding
Does YWAM count? They must have loads of volunteer opportunity.
Actually churches or other religious places tends to have a lot of them.
Could also even check with various government offices… they take volunteers too.
If you contact them and tell you want to teach English(/Math/Coding) as a volunteer to underprivileged kids, some of them might set up a class for you and kids.
education/social welfare/labor departments, NIA, immigration/women centers, library, community colleges, museums etc. are providing courses for underprivileged/general population. You could ask if they have/open classes fitting with your goals.
