According to this website http://strangemaps.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/eclipsemap.jpg there will be a solar eclipse over CHina on 22 July 2009. It will miss Taiwan, but for anyone interested in seeing this rare phenomenon it will be coming somewhat soon and might be worth a trip to china or possibly some of the Japanese islands.
