Something a Little Scary for The Weekend?

Ooer! And there’s probably LOADS of tuning potential.

Note the not-too-subtle probable difference in meaning between "roc license not need " (no license needed?) and “Does not have ROC Drivers license” (illegal!). I guess we don’t need a poll to decide?

“DIY olny” perhaps means “Die Instantly, Ygoren” Not sure about the “olny”, though. I reckon you could take some pedestrians with you, especially with the trailer.

There’s a reason they only sell the engine kits. This brings back the raw, high risk, user-beware Taiwan of the 70s, when “products liability” was not even a concept on the termite isle.

Who would ever want that? That brings memories back to that weird guy in LA who I would see periodically on Sunset Blvd riding to work every morning around 9:00AM. Weirdo!

I WANT!
80cc 2 stroke on a bicycle frame! HAH That’s awesome.

These are very popular amongst a certain crowd here in the US. There’s a whole forum devoted to them http://www.motoredbikes.com/
I’ve actually been shopping online for one lately. In Texas it’s legal everywhere a bicycle goes if not larger than 40cc.

So it might actually be legal in Taiwan??? Well, this is twice 40cc, and although its likely not optimised for performance, there are contributors to this forum who could probably make it go very fast indeed. Apart from fettling the engine/exhaust, that back cog is pretty big, and since you can apparently pedal for the low end, I dont see why you couldn’t raise the gearing to get more top.

And if 80cc is legal, where’s the limit? Hmm…I’ve got a soon-to-be-illegal RZR I don’t know what to do with…shudder

But bike brakes? A high-end mountain bike brakes and frame are maybe up to it in standard tune, but “most any” bicycle?..Its a freewheel so no engine braking at all…shudder

I can see the attraction though, especially if it IS really legal/unregulated. Just think it could be rather frightening.

Airline carry-on luggage potential? Would probably fit in the overhead stowage.

I think it’s pretty cool …Be great if you were a long distance rider with lots of camping gear and you liked to hit the mountains. Bike trailers are great too but you need brakes on them or they can make you crash. 80 cc- wow! I would definitely want disk brakes with this set-up.

So it might actually be legal in Taiwan???[/quote]I wouldn’t have thought so. Not without indicators, type approval, emissions testing, a license plate and that sort of thing.

Looks fun though.
