Hi I’m looking for somewhere to play ping pong in the city of Taipei. A friend of mine recalls seeing halls similar to pool halls but dedicated to ping pong. I really would like to get into playing here. Anyone know if these exist or where they are. (As well would like to meet people that are into playing).
Also looking for suggestions regarding used vinyl records. I have checked out Fu Hue flea market, a store near yongkang park and one in xiemending near zhungxiao, any other suggestions
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Title modified by moderator to exclude vinyl, which belongs in a separate thread.
Hi wornhill, and welcome to Forumosa!
For future reference, I’d recommend posting each topic in a separate post. This lets the moderator (me, in this subforum) move and merge as needed.
Second, check out our Search function. We’ve been around for years, and most questions have been asked before, so you’re likely to get your info more quickly by searching. A search for “vinyl” turned up three threads, which I have merged for your convenience here:
Where Can I Find Vinyl LP’s?
Other posters, please answer the vinyl question in THAT thread, not here. We’ll keep this one for ping pong.

I just found this thread by using the search function. Where can I play ping-pong?
At the Zhong Shan Sports Center you can take ping pong classes (as well as other classes). I think all skill levels are welcome. My 11 yo son has played there with adults and seniors.
I think you can also rent the table with a group of friends. My friend who takes lessons there says she enjoys the classes with the teacher because she learns new skills and then she plays with her classmates.
Here’s the English website

My building’s gym has two table tennis tables. You can play there as a guest for 100NT$. PM me if you’re interested.
A few leasure centres have ping pong tables and classes. Shipai MRT station has such a place close by. They also have swimming pool, climbing wall, pool tables, squash courts, basketball court, weights room and more. Its cheap to rent a table and its cheap for everything really. The gym only costs 50nt per visit.
