Sore

Is that proper English? Or is Tigerman German?

It’s proper English.

North American English. We don’t use it that way in the UK.

I’m pretty sore at you.

Yup.

And,

My ass is sore from sitting in this damn chair all day.

Thanks.

German:
Ich bin sauer auf dich.

Literally: I am sour at you.

sauer-sour-sore

I think this is a case of “Leave it to Beaver” English. That’s the only place you’d ever hear that!
